What cookies chanaccuethy.com uses and why. The short version: I keep it minimal, the banner lets you say no, and I do not sell your behavior to anyone.
What a cookie is, briefly.
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores so a website can remember something about you on your next visit. That's it. They are not programs, they cannot reach into your computer, and they cannot give me access to anything sensitive. Most websites use them. Some are essential; some are optional.

Strictly necessary
- cookieConsent — remembers whether you've accepted or declined the banner, so I don't keep nagging you. Stored in your browser only.
- Session cookies — short-lived technical cookies required by the hosting/CDN stack to serve pages reliably. Set automatically by the infrastructure.
Functional
- I do not currently use any functional cookies. If I add one in the future (for example, to remember your preferred lesson track across sessions), I'll update this page and re-prompt the banner.
Analytics
- Privacy-respecting analytics — I use a self-hosted, IP-anonymized analytics tool to count page views and see which pages are useful. No personal identifiers. No cross-site tracking. No data sale.
Marketing
- None. I do not run ad networks, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers on this site. The only "marketing" communication you'll get from me is the email reply to your lesson request and a single follow-up if you don't reply within 7 days.
How to control cookies.
- Use the banner on your first visit to opt in or out of analytics cookies.
- Clear your browser cookies at any time and the banner will re-appear.
- Set your browser to refuse all cookies from this domain — the site will still work for content, the form will still function.
Third-party services that may set cookies.
When you click a link to YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, or another external service (none are embedded on this site directly), that service may set its own cookies under its own policies. I'm not responsible for those.
Changes to this page.
If I make a material change to cookie usage, I'll update this page and reset the consent banner. Material changes never apply retroactively.
